Every minute matters.
For every minute that passes without CPR, a person's chance of survival drops 7–10%. Your hands can be the difference.
Why CPR Matters
About 70% of cardiac arrests happen at home — meaning the person most likely to need CPR is someone you love. You don't need a medical background to keep blood flowing to the brain until paramedics arrive. That simple act of pressing on someone's chest can double or even triple their chance of surviving. Learning CPR isn't just a skill — it's a promise that you won't freeze when it matters most.
Absolutely. Hands-only CPR — with no equipment at all — can be just as effective as conventional CPR in the first few minutes of cardiac arrest. Your hands keep oxygen-rich blood moving to the brain and vital organs. That buys critical time. In class, you'll also learn to use an AED (automated external defibrillator), which are increasingly available in schools, gyms, airports, and offices. But even without one, your hands are enough to save a life.
This is the most common fear people have — and the most important to address. If someone is in cardiac arrest, they are clinically dead. Doing something is always better than doing nothing. A cracked rib heals. Death doesn't. Good Samaritan laws in every U.S. state protect bystanders who act in good faith. Our class is designed to replace that fear with confidence so you can act without hesitation.
The AHA has led resuscitation science for over 60 years. Their guidelines are built on thousands of research studies and are updated regularly to reflect the best evidence. When you train with an AHA-certified instructor, you're learning techniques that are trusted by hospitals, EMS systems, and healthcare facilities worldwide. It's the gold standard — and it's exactly what we teach.
About Our Classes
BLS (Basic Life Support) is designed for healthcare professionals and anyone whose job requires a BLS card — nurses, CNAs, dental staff, EMTs, and similar roles. It focuses on high-quality CPR, AED use, and choking relief.

Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED covers all of that plus first aid skills like treating burns, wounds, allergic reactions, and more. It's ideal for teachers, coaches, workplace safety officers, and anyone who wants a broader skill set. Both earn you a nationally recognized AHA certification card valid for 2 years.
Not at all. Our classes are built for everyone — from first-time learners to seasoned healthcare workers renewing their cards. The pace is supportive, the practice is hands-on, and you'll leave feeling confident regardless of where you're starting from.
Yes. Your AHA BLS Provider or Heartsaver card is recognized across all 50 states and accepted by hospitals, schools, daycares, and employers nationwide. It's the most widely accepted CPR certification in the country. Your card is valid for 2 years from the date of your class.
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in — you'll be kneeling on the floor for hands-on practice. Avoid skirts and dresses if possible. Bring a valid photo ID and your payment. That's it — we provide all training equipment, manikins, and materials.
